An old Irish Saying...
When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we fall asleep. When we fall asleep, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to heaven. So, let’s all get drunk, and go to heaven!

Observation
I usually try not to notice or point out people’s race, skin color, age, gender, etc.
But… has anyone noticed that just about all the people that are so vocally against healthcare reform are old white people??? And they keep talking about wanting their country back. Back from what? Back from having an African-American president? Face the facts: We have an African-American...

Top Five Health Care Reform Lies
Lie #1: President Obama wants to euthanize your grandma!!!
The truth: These accusations—of “death panels” and forced euthanasia—are, of course, flatly untrue. As an article from the Associated Press puts it: “No ‘death panel’ in health care bill.”4 What’s the real deal? Reform legislation includes a provision, supported by the AARP, to offer senior...
FML
I have been having issues with the post office and just need to get it all of my chest. The worst part is that because this is a government agency there’s not much else I can do… FML.
I order from amazon and etsy… A LOT! If my package is sent via the postal service and not UPS I either get the package in my mailbox (if it’s small enough) or a post card letting me know they will...

Pensive
Trying to explain to Anglo-Americans that racism and discrimnation still exist is hard. Trying to explain anything about race and discrimination to anyone that’s close-minded is hard.
That is all.
Did You Know...
The projected price tag to improve our health care system - you know, the ONE TRILLION DOLLARS that’s being shouted at every possible opportunity to scare everyone - is only a TEN PERCENT INCREASE from what the government spends NOW on health coverage.
And in the long run we will end up saving money.
Sooo… why is anyone against this?
The Best Part of the Week
Wednesday. Humpday. Right smack dab in the middle of the workweek. The best part about the (work)week because you know you only have 2 more days to go. And if you can just make it through the morning… and then just make it through the afternoon… And it’s almost time to leave (you’ve begun your countdown after lunch) and all you have to make it through now is...
The Worst Part of the Day
It’s the hardest thing when you don’t feel like working and it’s your last day before you’re off… and then you take a 2 hour lunch! You come back and now, not only do you not feel like working, you also feel like taking a nap. It’s the worst.
Things That I Love
Spending time with my husband and friends. Going out and having a surprisingly great time. Having a beer or three. Laughing at corny jokes. Laughing at silly people. Always having a smile on my face. Going to bed with a smile on my face. Waking up and remembering all the good times that were had the night before. Doing it all over again…
Interesting
Isn’t it interesting how, for the last week, the major news coverage has been about Michael Jackson? Don’t get me wrong, it is sad that he died and how he (allegedly) died. Yes he did a lot for the music world. But seriously, is he more important than what’s going on in China? Than what’s (still) going on in Iran? Than everything going on in North Korea? Than...
Repo
I just watched “Repo The Genetic Rock Opera” - a movie about organs being sold and then reposessed if not paid for… Sounded a bit cheesey, but it was actually a good movie! Some of the singing may have been too much, but overall it was really entertaining. And the costumes were so cute!

Uninvited
I watched the movie The Uninvited last night. It was actually much better than I had expected. I thought it was going to be some cheesey movie and I called it halfway through - thinking I knew what would happen and how it would end. I was so relieved when I realized I was wrong. The reason I wasn’t expecting much was because I thought it was supposed to be a horror movie - from what I...
Ocean
In 48 hours I will be on the beach at South Padre. I will wear a swimsuit the whole time I’m there. I will not eat any real food and will drink only water and alcohol. I am going to relax, unwind, have a great time. I will take in the beauty of the beach one big sigh at a time. I will be content…

Love Letters
Today is my birthday (yay). Last night my hubby gave me an early birthday present. It was a book titled “Other People’s Love Letters: 150 Letters You Were Never Meant to See”. I started reading it last night and I couldn’t put it down - I’m already halfway through the book! This book contains love letters sent in by the writers and the receivers of the notes. ...
Disenchanted
Reading the posts on textsfromlastnight.com is amusing. Although I can laugh at most of the things on there, it also makes me a little disappointed with today’s youth. Sad.
Greatest Rom-Com?
Just saw “50 First Dates” for the first time this weekend. I don’t know why I hadn’t seen it before, but I’m glad I finally watched it. That movie was beautiful. Is it just me? Seriously; this movie made me teary-eyed and I rarely get emotional over romantic movies. This movie was almost as great as “Eternal Sunshine”. I don’t think any movie...

Things That I Hate
When people use “of” instead of “have” when they type. Ex: “He should of kicked her out.” “She could of punched him in the face.” It is HAVE people! HAVE! Should have, could have, would have!

I just wanted to share this site with everyone. It’s a photo-hosting site, but the coolest thing is that it lets you create your own photo website! This is great for people who love taking pictures and sharing them with friends and family. I saw this and just *had* to post it. This is so me; I’m sorry. It’s just too easy to be this way and I know I should follow my own advice: The hardest thing to do is usually the right thing to do (and of course: The easiest thing to do is usually the wrong thing to...
Intoxicating Life
Once there was a lonely girl and, although she was surrounded by many, she had no real friends and no one to talk to. She lived her life in total solitude and despair. She endured this existence for years and quite a lot of people, including herself, thought that she would live this way forever. Until one day she met a very handsome and charming boy. The boy treated the girl the only way he...
